Nebraska ag land values increased for the second straight year.

The 2021 Farm Real Estate Market Survey by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln shows the value increased by 6%.

Agricultural Economics Professor Jim Jansen tells Brownfield the rise is caused by many factors.

“Profitability of farmer/ranch operations, different forms of government assistance that come through the Farm Service Agency for example, current price levels especially for commodity prices as well as prevailing interest rates, financing log and short term debt,” he says.
