Direct cash cattle trade activity has been quiet. A few bids have been renewed in parts of Nebraska at $182. Asking prices for cattle left on showlists are at $116 live in the South and $184 dressed in the North. There’s been a couple of back-to-back days of light to moderate trade. Live business in Kansas and Texas has been at mostly $114, steady with the previous week’s weighted averages. Dressed deals in Nebraska and Iowa have been at mostly $180 to $182, $.50 to $2.50 higher than the prior week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
