No big surprises in the USDA’s latest Cattle on Feed report from the USDA, according to University of Missouri livestock economist Scott Brown.
He tells Brownfield the biggest question heading into Friday’s report was just how much the cold weather was a factor. “I think everybody was trying to factor in just how much that very cold weather really shuttered some feeder cattle markets for a while and movement of cattle in this country,” he says.
