Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for near- or above-normal temperatures and near- or below-normal precipitation across much of the country. The greatest likelihood of warm, dry conditions will cover California and the north-central U.S. Elsewhere, cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to the south-central U.S. and parts of the Pacific Northwest, while wetter-than-normal weather should be limited to an area stretching from southern Texas and the western Gulf Coast region into the middle and northern Atlantic States.
