The new administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency says he’ll use a science-based approach to accomplish an ambitious agenda.
During the Agri-Pulse Ag and Food Policy Summit Wednesday, Michael Regan was asked about comments he made during his confirmation hearing about confronting climate change and standing up for justice and equity, all while having science at the heart of the decision-making.
“I think it’s important to take a science-based, deliberate approach before we set any specific policy actions, and that’s in keeping with President Biden’s directive to pause and review a few of the previous administration’s policies.”
But he says there’s also a sense of urgency as some issues require quick action.
