At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle closed higher, supported by the recent strength in boxed beef prices and cash business. April live cattle closed $.87 higher at $120.97 and June live cattle closed $.87 higher at $122.65. April feeder cattle closed $1.95 higher at $147.07 and May feeder cattle closed $2.32 higher at $152.20.
It was a quiet start to the week for direct cash cattle trade activity. Bids and asking prices didn’t surface on Monday.
