Direct cash cattle trade activity is quiet to start the week with bids and asking prices not yet established.  It’s likely significant trade volume will be delayed until the latter half of the week.  The bulk of last week’s business stook place on Wednesday with some clean-up trade taking place Thursday and Friday.  Southern live deals ranged from $113 to $116, $1 to $2 higher than the prior week’s weighted averages.  Northern dressed business was mostly $184 to $185, $3 to $4 higher than the previous week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
