Warmer weather during March melted snow cover in most of Wisconsin.
The USDA says temperatures were uniformly warmer than normal, with snow cover now mostly gone in northern areas and completely gone in southern portions of the state.
Manure spreading has started in some areas, but parts of Wisconsin remain too muddy for fieldwork.
The USDA’s weekly crop progress and condition reports resume Monday.
