There’s a wide range of soybean estimates as traders await USDA’s Prospective Plantings Forecast tomorrow (later today).

Karl Setzer with AgriVisor says the guesses range from 86 million to 91.6 million.

“A huge range on soybean acres! And we have to remember the estimates aren’t necessarily what the acres will be, it’s what the USDA will put out.”

He tells Brownfield it could be a very bullish report for soybeans if USDA projects fewer than 90 million planted acres or less than 88.5 million harvested.
