Soybeans were higher on commercial and technical buying. The trade was trying to buy some acreage after last week’s lower than expected USDA planted area guess. The trade is also watching harvest conditions in Argentina and Brazil. Datagro pegs Brazil’s soybean crop at a record 135.47 million tons, the largest of the major estimates. Export demand has slowed, but inspections remain on pace to meet or exceed the USDA’s projection for the current marketing year.
