Twenty-seven Illinois youth will have the opportunity to learn more about livestock, citizenship, communication and leadership in Des Moines, Iowa this year.
The Illinois Livestock Leadership Institute, sponsored by the Illinois Pork Producers Association, Illinois Beef Association and Midwest Dairy is open to youth ages 16-20 interested in learning about pork, beef and dairy production, research, consumer information, and issues impacting the livestock industry.
The four-day trip will include stops at the Iowa State University research farm, National Pork Board, National Pork Producers Council, Weber Beef, Cinnamon Ridge Farms and more.
