Nebraska’s soil moisture improved last week. The USDA says topsoil moisture supplies were 5 percent very short, 15 percent short, 74 percent adequate and six percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies were nine percent very short, 24 percent short, 65 percent adequate and two percent surplus
Winter wheat is rated 43 percent good to excellent.
Oats planted reached 40 percent, 10 percent ahead of last year. Eight percent of the crop has emerged.
