Michigan Agricultural Commodities President Bruce Sutherland tells Brownfield he believes USDA’s outlook for the state’s wheat crop is conservative.
“The last USDA report had us at 580,000, I personally think it’s a little bit larger than that,” he says.
He says very high condition ratings to start the season are expected to set the crop up for a strong production year.
“I think yields will be very good so I think the wheat market will be one to focus on,” he says.
