The chairman of the Michigan Wheat Program says he was able to get the crop planted at the end of last September and it’s looking good.

“Wheat’s farther ahead than normal due to the fact that it had an early start last fall and mild weather to this point,” he says.

Genesee County farmer Bill Hunt tells Brownfield while prices are at levels that are pretty hard not to be profitable, he is worried about the lack of moisture in Michigan and across the Midwest.
