Garlic is a vegetable that most people either love or hate.  And for years garlic was cultivated for consumption and medicinal purposes.  It was brought to the US in the 1700s, but wasn’t widely used as an ingredient until the 1920s. 

So how does it make it into the grocery store, farmers market, or your CSA box?
