Iowa FFA has set back-to-back membership records in the midst of a global pandemic.
State advisor Matthew Eddy says a handful of new chapters emerge each year, even in the last 12 to 14 months.
“We see a lot of that increase and I think a lot of it just comes down to people (being) really excited about agriculture and where their food comes from, and learning more about that. And frankly, I just think agriculture is cool.”
Iowa FFA eclipsed 16,000 members for the first time in 2020, and Eddy tells Brownfield the number is even higher this year.
