A light direct cash cattle trade is underway. Deals in the South are at $120, steady to $1 lower than last week’s weighted averages. Bids are at $192 dressed in the North. Asking prices for cattle are at $122 to $125 live in the South and $205 plus dressed in the North. Today’s Fed Cattle Exchange had an offering of 4,972 head of which 1,517 head sold at $120 and $124. Look for more business to develop throughout the week.
