Direct cash cattle trade activity is quiet to start the week. Bids and asking prices have yet to surface. It’s likely the business will be delayed until at least midweek or later. The bulk of last week’s trade took place on Wednesday in the South and on Thursday in the North and was overall very light. Southern live deals had a full range of $118 to $120, mostly $119 to $120, steady to roughly $1.50 lower than the prior week’s business.
