The Wisconsin soybean program’s research efforts are being affected by COVID supply chain problems, just like other growers.
Shawn Conley with the University of Wisconsin tells Brownfield they didn’t get everything they needed in time for planting, which started Tuesday. “We had a challenge getting our seed due to some of the COVID issues and just transportation issues. We’re still sitting 30 varieties that we asked for but we’re not getting, but it’s go time, so we said we’re going.”
Conley says even with so many seed deliveries that didn’t arrive, their research will not be greatly impacted.
