An extension crops educator is encouraged by the start of Minnesota’s growing season.
Dave Nicolai with the University of Minnesota says there’s been quite a bit of progress.
“Not only for corn planting, but also soybeans have gone in the ground. Which is remarkable because we typically haven’t seen soybean planting this early in the state of Minnesota.”
He tells Brownfield sugarbeet planting should be nearly complete by the end of the month.
