A diversified crop farmer in northern Iowa says organic grain prices are slowly following conventional markets higher.
Rusty Olson grows corn, soybeans, and organic crops near Garner.
“It followed it slowly on the way down, and we kind of saw the bottom last summer going into fall with the organic markets, very similar to your standard futures contracts. And it is turning around again.”
He calls the organic corn market “attractive” right now and tells Brownfield he changed his mind on planting organic soybeans.
