The ranking member of the Senate Ag Committee anticipates climate discussions will play a large part in shaping the next farm bill. Arkansas Senator John Boozman says the President’s agenda is clear. “When you look at the administration’s agenda it’s climate, climate, climate,” he says. “So yes, I think it will be a big component of the next farm bill.”
He tells Brownfield he’s hopeful hearings leading up to writing the next farm bill will provide some clarity about climate change and the opportunities carbon banks could provide farmers.
