A bipartisan group of U.S. House members is urging U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai (tye) to urge Vietnam to drop tariffs on U.S. pork.
Republicans Dusty Johnson of South Dakota and Darin LaHood of Illinois, along with Democrats Ron Kind of Wisconsin and California’s Jim Costa tell Tai the last few years have been extremely difficult for U.S. pork producers because of trade retaliation from Mexico and China plus pandemic supply chain disruptions.
