A Northeast Iowa farmer says he’s waiting for rain. “It’s dry. It’s really showing in pastures and hay fields, all of it.”
Matt Hoeft who farms near Charles City in Floyd County says the cool and dry conditions are hindering his corn crop emergence. “It’s up but it doesn’t look good. It has poor color, it’s yellowing,” Hoeft says. “We haven’t had any heat. I think we had highs in the low 60s and we’re down to the low 30s.
