Direct cash cattle trade is off to a typically quiet Monday as both buyers and sellers take inventory.  Bids and asking prices have yet to surface and it’s likely significant trade volume will hold out until the latter half of the week, but could start developing as early as Tuesday, following the trend of recent weeks.   Last week’s business started early in the week and came in waves. Southern live business ranged from $119 to $120, roughly steady to $.50 higher than the prior week’s weighted averages.
