Crops are in various stages across the state of Tennessee at this point in the planting season.
Early cool weather required some fields to be replanted in western Tennessee. A window of dry weather in the middle part of the state allowed for hay cutting and baling, and corn and hay progressed well with drier weather in eastern Tennessee.
As of Sunday, the USDA reports 86% of corn is planted up from 75% the previous week and in line with the five-year average of 87%.
