Missouri’s eminent domain legislation did not pass the Senate.
Missouri Cattlemen’s Association Ag Policy Chairman Jimmie Long said he’s disappointed in Missouri leaders for not bringing the bill to the floor.
“We had the votes,” he said. “It was just, kind of, stone walled and not brought on to be voted on the floor.”
The bill, sponsored by Senator Jason Bean, would have blocked private energy company Grain Belt Express from using eminent domain to acquire privately owned land.
