A South-Central Nebraska farmer says he needed rain and when he got it, Mother Nature didn’t hold back.
Blake Dunaway who grows corn and soybeans near Orleans tells Brownfield the moisture started after he finished planting. “We’re really wet right now. We’ve caught just under three inches of rain in the last week,” he says. “We had some running water and washouts on some of our hillier ground.”
He says he’s not concerned about replanting from rain but is carefully watching other emergence issues.
