The end is getting closer for 2021 U.S. corn and soybean planting.
The USDA says that as of Sunday, 90% of U.S. corn is planted, compared to 80% both last year and on average, with 64% of the crop emerged, compared to the five-year average of 54%.
75% of soybeans are planted, compared to 61% a year ago and 54% on average, with 41% of the crop emerged, compared to the usual pace of 25%.
