Abnormally wet conditions slowed planting progress in Missouri last week.
The USDA says corn planting reached 90 percent complete last week, 16 percent ahead of last year. More than three quarters of the crop has emerged, 17 percent ahead of last year.
Soybean planting is ahead of last year with 44 percent of the crop in. Twenty-seven percent of the crop has emerged, eight percent ahead of last year.
Rice planting is nearly complete at 95 percent done.
