The new U.S. Trade Representative had her first trade discussions with Chinese trade officials Wednesday.
A statement from the USTR office says Katherine Tai had candid exchange with Vice Premier Liu He during a virtual meeting. They discussed the Biden-Harris trade principles and worker-centered trade policy, and her ongoing review of the U.S.-China trade relationship.
Tai says she raised some “issues of concern” but did not specify what those issues were.
