A pair of storm systems will cross the country during the next several days. The first system, currently traversing the nation’s mid-section, will reach the East on Saturday. The second storm will reach the central and southern Plains before stalling late in the weekend and early next week. Five-day rainfall totals could reach 2 to 6 inches or more across the central and southern Plains and 1 to 3 inches in the Midwest and mid-Atlantic.
