The livestock markets are a little jumbled to start the week following the announcement that JBS was victim to a targeted cyberattack. The USDA is reporting packer submission problems and several reports are being delayed. The details of the pork cutout values, boxed beef prices, and cash hogs aren’t available and it’s unknown at this time how long the delays will last.
Livestock economist Derrell Peel from Oklahoma State University says the attack will likely create additional volatility to markets this week.
