Tyson Foods has named Donnie King its new president and CEO, effective immediately.  After less than a year, current president and CEO Dean Banks has left the company and board for personal reasons. 

King was most recently Tyson’s Chief Operating Officer and has more than 36 years of experience in the protein business and has held a variety of executive leadership positions involving virtually all facets of the company, including poultry, beef, pork, prepared foods, and international. 

Tyson is one of the world’s largest food companies and its portfolio includes Tyson, Timmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, Ball Park, Wright, Aidells, ibp, and State Fair.
