A South Dakota grower says the dry spring allowed him to plant more acres than before. Jason Frerichs does minimal no-till in Northeastern South Dakota in Roberts County.
“We certainly had areas that we had not farmed for many years, not even just the last three or four years but more years before that. And so, it was nice to be able to plant the fields in the entirety.”
But, he says emergence has been uneven and he’s had to replant some soybeans.
