Central Ohio farmer Kelly Harsh says conditions were nearly ideal for planting this year.

“We are thankful for nice weather this year,” she says. “We wrapped up corn and soybean planting on our farm. Last year, we were just getting a good start about now after a lot of rainy weather.”

The Delaware County corn and soybean grower says, “the corn looks great and the soybeans look great. We didn’t have any replanting this year and with some nice rainfall throughout the summer, I think we’re looking at a great crop.”

Harsh is the president of the Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association.
