Above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation continued to impact Missouri’s crops last week.  USDA reporters say the state had less than four-tenths of an inch of rain all week, with an average temperature of just over 79 degrees.  Still, 65% of the cropland has adequate moisture, with 26% short and 4% very short.

Eighty percent of the state’s soybeans have emerged with one percent already blooming.  Soybean condition was reported as 51% good and 5% excellent.

Corn condition around Missouri is 52% good, 5% excellent, and 36% fair.

Twenty-seven percent of the winter wheat for grain has been harvested.  Cotton is starting to set bolls.
