Minnesota crops are suffering under continued hot, dry conditions.

The latest weekly USDA report shows corn condition ratings declining eight percent on the week to 50 percent good to excellent.

Soybean condition declined to 53 percent good to excellent, down from 61 percent a week ago.

Spring wheat is 90 percent jointed and 62 percent headed, about a week to a week and-a-half ahead of the five-year average.  Less than half the crop is now considered good to excellent, a drop of about 20 percentage points on the week.
