Western Missouri farmer Kyle Durham tells Brownfield growers were in a mad dash to get their crops in after being kept out of their fields for multiple weeks.
“A friend of mine who’s a retailer in the area said he didn’t know when he had ever moved so much seed and so much chemical all in such a short window of time,” he said.
Durham said after planting corn at the end of April and start of May, farmers in his area went about three weeks without much fieldwork getting done because of consistent rainfall.
