Direct cash cattle trade activity has been slow much of the week. It looks like the rest of the week’s trade may hold out until after today’s On Feed numbers are released. Bids have surfaced around $125 live and $197 dressed in the North. Asking prices for cattle are $122 to $124 live in the South and $202 to $204 dressed in the North. There’s been a light to moderate trade that’s taken place this week with dressed business ranging from $197 to $202, mostly $197, $1 higher than last week’s weighted averages.
