The latest crop report from USDA suggests drought continues to be a concern with topsoil moisture levels rated 75 percent short to very short, and subsoil moistures at 69 percent short to very short.
The corn condition rating fell to 43 percent good to excellent, compared to 50 percent last week.
Soybeans considered good to excellent dropped from 53 to 45 percent.
