An east-central Missouri farmer says he lost about a third of his corn and soybean crops to recent flooding.
Mark Scott said he plans to replant lost soybean acres and plant some additional soybeans where his corn was flooded out. Scott tells Brownfield while he can receive an indemnity for his lost soybeans and replant insured soybeans after July 15th…
“On the corn, I can take the indemnity and wait until the 16th of July and plant and then not ensure the soybeans,” he said.
