A group of Midwestern Senators have sent a letter to President Biden urging him to uphold campaign promises to support biofuels and the Renewable Fuel Standard.
The letter asks the president to promote and advance renewable energy, ethanol, and other biofuels by not considering oil refinery exemptions under the RFS.
The letter says the president is “inconsistent” with his policy position outlined during his campaign after reports that he’s considering “bailouts” for oil refineries.
