Direct cash cattle trade is off to another slow start following Wednesday’s moderate business across most areas.  Asking prices for cattle left on showlists are around $122 plus live in the South and $199 dressed in the North.  Beef cutouts are expected to move lower on the day on light to moderate box movement.  Prices on Wednesday were steady to $2 lower with the week’s previous business at $122 live. Dressed deals in the North came in at $198, even with Tuesday’s business and $1 higher than last week.
