The U.S. and Taiwan have restarted trade talks.

The virtual meeting focused on enhancing the longstanding trade and investment relationship, according to the US Trade Representative’s Office.

Officials discussed the importance of secure and resilient supply chains and plans to convene meetings of several working groups on agriculture, technical barriers to trade, and more.

U.S. officials also discussed opportunities for the two sides to explore trade tools to tackle the climate crisis.
