Mother Nature cooperated and farmers across most of Arkansas had nearly a full week suitable for fieldwork.  Corn made significant progress in the last week with 71% silking more than doubling its progress from a week ago, 19% of the crop is in the dough stage and 72% is rated good to excellent.  Cotton is still well behind its average pace with 58% squaring and 10% setting bolls, 79% is rated good to excellent.   Peanuts are rated 96% good to excellent with 42% of the crop pegging.
