The impacts of heavy rain became more known this past week in Michigan while dry areas worsened.

As of Sunday, the USDA says winter wheat condition declined 13 points to 46 percent good to excellent, and 54 percent of the crop is mature.  Corn condition improved to 69 percent good to excellent, soybeans were up to 62 percent. 

Sugarbeet condition dropped 10 points to 60 percent good to excellent while dry beans declined 22 points to 45 percent good to excellent.  Thirty-one percent of second cutting alfalfa harvest is complete.
