Scattered rains helped improve crop conditions in some parts of Minnesota.
But the latest weekly crop update from USDA says overall, corn condition ratings declined from 43 to 41 percent good to excellent during the past week.
Corn silking reached five percent, three days ahead of the five-year average.
Soybeans considered good to excellent slipped one percentage point on the week to 44 percent.
Soybeans blooming, at 38 percent, is equal to last year and a week faster than normal.
