Wisconsin’s FFA leaders had to prepare for this year’s convention in a much different way because of Covid-19. Executive Director Cheryl Zimmerman tells Brownfield planning started long before the crowd restrictions were lifted in Madison, so they had to keep all options open. “What we were doing was looking around the State of Wisconsin just to see where could we actually hold an event that could be in person, and I decided that I’d call the staff here at the Alliant Energy Center just to see what they thought the summer would look like, and we got positive news.”
Zimmerman says that positive news was what they needed because FFA members were anxious to get back together in person again.
