Wisconsin had average temperatures and scattered rainfall, but the driest part of the state got no relief from Mother Nature.  USDA reporters say southeastern Wisconsin near Milwaukee again had no rain, and farmers in that region continue to have a concern about crops.  Meanwhile, the Fox Valley, both sides of Green Bay, and a strip of central Wisconsin received between two and three inches of rain in the week ending Sunday.

Second-crop alfalfa hay is more than 80% cut in the south and from 52% to 74% finished in most northern areas except north-central Wisconsin, where 2nd crop hay is only 32% cut.
